Seen Around Nashville

You are so Nashville if you get snatched out of Jesus' arms by the Achy Breaky Defibrillator.

This illustrations on this billboard look like they were stolen from the drawings on the back of a junior high fantasy geek's notebook. And I LOVE them. We all know that we're not getting the whole truth when we buy a used car, so why not run with it? Wings? Heck yeah! And to name the place "Reality Auto Sales"?  Awesome.

And doesn't this place look like an interesting haunt?

I love the little kitty cocktail waitress.

And the champagne glass. I'm pretty sure that she serves a lot of champagne in there!

And here are two examples of one of my favorite things - sassy church signs:

Thanks to the Mister for three of these photos!
I hope that you all are having a great Sunday!

Until next time,
x's and o's,
Eartha

What if you start having a heart attack from listening to Billy Ray Cyrus?

Haha, what a collection! I knew of/was intrigued by that auto sign, but I love that I am now able to view it with scrutiny because of this post (usually [is it on the way to Rivergate?] I'm goggling out the side of the car going "Are those wings?!"). Also, can we do a blogger meet up at Miss Kitty's Place?

Tami: Thanks hon! : )

Trina: Ha! I'm sure people have had some line dancing to that song.

Lisa: That's the one! And ha! Oh god, the stories that would come out of THAT meet-up.

We drive by Miss Kitty's often and my huz always comments that he wants to check it out. It looks like some of the dives that we loved in California. I wonder if it is just sketchy enough to be interesting, or a total trash-hole on the inside. Lol. If one of you goes, I'd love to hear about it so we can decide whether or not to go. :)

Love it! Signs like that are pretty common here in Texas as well. My favorite is the Miss Kitty's champagne glass too. I'm sure she has some clientele that can really go through those cases of Dom Perignon.

Let's got to Miss Kitty's and have a cocktail. :)

I'm a sucker for a good road sign. I never see anything close to these here in Philadelphia. Though the one Catholic church near my house is a big fan of Christian humor. That old "give Satan an inch and he'll be a ruler" kind of stuff.

What fun! Reality Auto? Why yes, the alternate reality of someone who has fallen in love with a clunker and can't walk away from it. Late a cocktail at Miss Kitty's to quench the hellfire.

Miss Kitty's Place .... love that the building does not at all go with the style they are trying to portray.

crazy church signs kill me - it's like a game to them to see how much play on words they can fit on one teeny sign

Love these! On Saturday I learned how to use one of those automatic defibrillators and perform CPR. Alas, I'm pretty sure we don't have any Billy Ray Cyrus approved ones here in OK. Maybe some Garth Brooks, Reba, or Vince Gill ones though! :)

I love these kitschy signs! There are plenty to match these in sunny Florida that I must capture on my next road trip. :)

There's this place that is outside of cookeville in Gainsboro where you can eat and get a haircut simultaneously eat a burger. It's called eat n' trim or something like that. I pass it about once a year when I go out there. This year I vie to get a solid shot of it. It's just about the worst business plan that I've ever heard of
