Happy Fall, Y'all!

Yaaaaaay! for the first day of Fall!  Thank goodness. It seems like we usually only get three weeks of Fall before the leaves are gone and it's dark, bleak Winter but I always enjoy this season the most. I'm about to make so much soup that it's not even funny. Here are some first day of Fall shots for you.

I hope that you all have a great Sunday! We're going over to visit a friend's chickens and I'm unreasonably excited about it. And the chocolate cake that I'm going to bake with those fresh eggs.

And I'll leave you with this beautiful dog who might love Fall even more than me.

I just love how dogs show you everything they're feeling. You never have to guess with a dog, you know?

And I'm so ready for fall, too! The rain is back, and it makes me happy!

Loooove that 4th pic, I see price tags so I guess an estate sale? Ahhh I would love to find some giant paintings (one for each season, to change out, I'm dreaming big!) like that to hang in our family room. There's a faded spot on the paneling about that size already, I only wish I knew what the previous owners had hanging there back in the 70s! Thank you for sharing!!

I'm with ya...I love fall too! The only bad thing about it is the fact that it means winter is coming. Love the colors and the crisp cool air this time of year though, there is something invigorating about it.

Yaaaay fall! The weather has been awesome here (anything below 80 in NC at this time of year counts as fall, I don't care if it's 79 and technically kinda warm) so I've been going on a decorating spree and being super productive for some reason. Also the backyard in our new house has oak trees and other trees that I think will turn (I know very little about trees) so I'm anxiously awaiting to see what the yard will look like! It's like a game! WHAT BACKYARD DID YOU WIN?

Aw, love this beautiful vicarious look at fall. Each photo is beautiful! I can only imagine it after over a decade in North Florida. We have NOT this season ever, although one year on Christmas Eve the trees randomly exploded in fall color. ;D We joked that you know it's Christmas in Jacksonville, Florida when it looks like Autumn.

I love this pictures, and the video of the dog had me beaming. Our old golden retriever used to do that, then he would bury a tennis ball in the pile, and expect you to find it and throw it for him. 2nd day of fall, and we have snow! Luckily it isn't sticking, but still...how about easing in a bit?

You certainly have jumped right into the fall season fully! You know, our Cherokee ancestors probably would have been too busy harvesting their maize crop to have done much else this time of year!!! (Rob)

AT Goodwill yesterday I came upon the aisle of halloween decorations and it was like angels were singing from the heavens. I LOVE FALL!

OMG! That afghan! My husband has one almost exactly like it (no fringe on his)! His grandmother knitted it for him, and it's probably his most prized possession. I, umm, don't love it so much. Heh.
But it's made out of acrylic yarn, so that baby will be sharing the earth with the cockroaches long, long after we are gone. Thanks for the giggle!
